The Department of Justice and Community Safety leads the delivery of justice services in Victoria. Supporting the strategic objective of “building a high performance justice system” the recruitment services department is pivotal to its success.
The assessment and delivery arm of Recruitment Services deliver a range of practical and innovative solutions to source and select the best front-line talent for our department. Our team is made up of passionate, quick thinking individuals who come together in collaboration to deliver exceptional service.
Recruitment Advisers are responsible for end to end campaign (high-volume) delivery. They attract, assess, select and onboard people to work in critical frontline service positions including prison officers, youth justice workers, clinicians and graduates across Victoria. We partner with hiring managers to determine position requirements then we design, deliver and evaluate volume recruitment strategies.
You are an expert recruitment practitioner with demonstrated knowledge and experience leading high volume recruitment and selection methodology. Within your career, you would have gathered and used evidence-based data to make recommendations that provide value to your stakeholders through innovative approaches to recruitment practice. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with conflicting priorities is imperative.
Working in a team of talent management professionals, this is a rare opportunity for a volume recruiter to make a first time move to an in-house recruitment service or an experienced internal recruiter to develop assessment strategies and tools. Work location
Our team have been working from home since the State of Emergency was declared so it is expected that you are prepared to do the same until such time we are permitted to work from our office on Exhibition Street. When our movements are unrestricted, aspects of this role are regularly conducted on-site at our justice facilities. Some of these locations are in regional Victoria will require travel and overnight stays. A full and current driver's licence (or a minimum P2) is required to drive a government vehicle.
